Caramel Brownies
Ingredients
- 1 14 oz bag caramels
- 2/3 c. evaporated milk – divided
- 1 pkg. German Chocolate Cake mix
- ¾ cup butter melted
- 1 c. chopped nuts – optional
- 3 c. semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Melt caramels and 1/3 cup evaporated milk in microwave.
- Beat cake mix, 1/3 c. evaporated milk and butter. Add nuts.
- Press ½ of dough into greased 9 X 13 pan.
- Bake at 350 for 6 minutes. Sprinkle chocolate chips over crust.
- Pour caramel mixture over all, spreading evenly.
- Dot rest of dough over caramel.
- Bake 15-18 more minutes at 350. Cool.
- Chill 30 minutes and cut into bars.
